De Jure Principis Aereo
Disputatio Inauguralis by Johannes Stephanus Dancko, Anhalt-Zerbst, 1687
Latin - English Synopsis
Edited by Marietta Benkö and Bernhard Schmidt-Tedd in
cooperation with Denise Digrell
Translations by Marty H. Heinz and Peter Kertesz. Cologne 2002
Dancko´s dissertation is presumably the first study in the field of air law. It is also pioneering by its “cosmopolitan” approach while comparing and evaluating relevant laws and regulationsfrom England, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Russia and Spain.
Also, it is interesting to see that Dancko´s work is structured logically but also formally in many ways like a “modern” contemporary dissertation.
